Proposed Amendments to the Refereeing / Arbitrage Rules
The FISav Arbitrage Commission proposals for amendments and clarifications to the FISav Refereeing / Arbitrage Rules. The proposals reflect the discussions and conclusions reached during the Commission meeting of 10 May 2026. Their principal objectives are to clarify responsibilities and authority, strengthen the protection and independence of officials, improve the management of coaches and corners, establish a clearer reclamation procedure, and support the education and development of officials. Where a proposal concerns a provision that should be incorporated into the existing rules, the Commission recommends that the approved wording be inserted into the relevant section of the Rules. Where the Commission considers it preferable, the provisions concerning International Officials may alternatively be adopted as a separate FISav regulation, provided that the substance is approved by the competent FISav body.
