The president of the Fédération Internationale de Savate, Dr Julie Gabriel, visited Varaždin during the Balkan Cup competition in Savate Assaut, organized by Fight Club Kovacic, and held in the Arena Varazdin.
In addition to a site visit in preparation for the World Championships (Savate Assaut and Canne de Combat), the president trained with members of F.C. Kovacic.In a first session, she taught some technical defences and parries to the youngest members of the club. Later for the fighters and more experienced members, she gave a focus mitt cardio session.
In the break between the two sessions, the president of the Community Sports Association of the city of Varazdin, Alen Runac, came by to meet Dr Gabriel. He thanked her for supporting Varazdin to host the World Championships in September.
