"Watching the Olympic Games on television, and analysing the organization, I cannot stop myself from thinking that the quality of our organization of the World Savate Championships must measure up to our ambitions. The Office of the French National Olympic Committee, where the elections of the new Management Committee of the FIS will take place on Sunday 21st September, symbolises our ambitions.
A great 2008 World Assaut Championship, shown by the quality of the athletes and the organization, and by the number of national federations present, will assist in the realization of our objective, the first part of which was our recognition by FISU, and the second part of which will be our membership of AGFIS.
The members of the CDI know that in working together we will win!
For that, we must persevere in the path that we have taken for Savate, carried by the values taught in Savate for two centuries, which are also the Olympic values. Savate claims these values, and I think that they are not unfamiliar to us for, as you surely know, Pierre de Coubertin practised our sport Savate."
