"Following the General Meeting and the FIS elections, after a few weeks, the FIS is managing many projects:
- the setting up of the confederations, the commissions and the organisation of their tasks
- the finalization of the AGFIS file that we will present soon when we make our first contacts in December
- the management of the 2008 finals of the European Championships
- the preparation for the 2009 championships
- the contacts for the World championships for athletes under 18, and for the World Police championships
- the meetings for the 2010 World University championship at Nantes (France)
- the management of the FIS website
- and finally, the international success of Chauss’fight (world or continental belts and not championships) welcomed as a discipline by many Savate federations affiliated to the FIS.
All this work requires the energy of a lot of people in the world of Savate. I greet them all warmly. Our secretariat (only part time) cannot do miracles, I have decided that preparing the best file for AGFIS and responding to the success of the Chauss’fight, requires hiring another person at the FIS. Being in full expansion, I know that the FIS is being observed, our duty is to serve the athletes from all over the world. We will do it."
