The 2026 Canne de Combat World Championships were held on 18–19 July at Sport Park Radlice in Prague, Czechia, bringing together the world's leading Canne de Combat athletes to compete for the sport's highest honours. The championships were held alongside the 3rd Prague World Cup, which provided additional competition opportunities for senior and youth athletes.
The World Championships featured men's, women's, wheelchair, and mixed team events, with competitors progressing from qualifying pools through to the knockout stages. Athletes from across Europe, Asia, Africa and beyond demonstrated the high technical standard and sportsmanship that continue to characterise international Canne de Combat.
The championship produced a landmark moment for the sport as Jacob West (Great Britain) captured the men's World Championship title, becoming the first non-French male athlete to win the Canne de Combat World Championship. His victory represents a significant milestone in the international development of the discipline.
France nevertheless topped the medal table, winning the women's individual title through Margaux Fournier, the mixed team championship, and adding several silver and bronze medals across the categories. In the wheelchair competition, Mathieu Visenjoue (Mauritius) claimed the world title, underlining the continued growth and inclusivity of Canne de Combat at international level.
The accompanying 3rd Prague World Cup also attracted strong participation, with Nicolas Legoupil and Emilie Reineke of France securing the senior men's and women's titles, while Alessandro Nguyen Rievaj (Great Britain) won the youth tournament.
