The Pan-American Savate Assaut Championships took place in Ibague, Colombia on the 13th October. The event was organised by the Colombian Savate Federation, and had the support of the departmental government, and took place in the station mall in Ibague.
Savate World Champion Ibrahim Konaté (Mali) has been working with the Colombia Savate Federation to build their understanding of Savate rules and tactics. He visited Colombia for a second time to help with the organisation. Delegations from Mexico, Peru and Colombia participated in the championships, with athletes from Colombia, Mexico and France competing in a Combat Gala. Congratulations to all participants, and thanks to Ibrahim Konate and the local organisers.
