From 7 to 8 December 2018, the Savate Combat African Championship was held in Dakar, Senegal. A total of 16 athletes representing African countries - Senegal, Guinea Conakry, Guinea Bissau, Mauritius and Mali - were present. Tarek Mehdi (Tunisia) also participated as an official.
The President of the National Olympic and Sports Committee of Senegal (CNOSS) was represented by the Secretary General of the CNOSS, Mr. Seydina Diagne.
The athletes competed in six weight classes from -60 kg to -85 kg. The new champions are:
56 – 60kg David SAGNA Guinea-Bissau
60 – 65kg Brian FRANCOIS FILS Mauritius
65 – 70kg Ibrahim KONATE Mali
70 – 75kg Mohamed DIABI Mali
75 – 80kg Ascension MENDY Guinea-Bissau
80 – 85kg Mamadou CISSE Senegal
