This, the second open of Hungary was a great success. As last year : seminar on friday, competition on saturday and hot baths on sunday. The best solution for a quick recovery.
Ten countries participated, and the president of FISav came from Cambrige to judge, coach and fight.

80 assauts and 2 magnificient precombats took place. From children to veterans, 78 fighters registered, a good quality of savate in the ring, and only one disqualification. No reclamations, thus proving a good team of officials and a fairplay spirit from the athletes.

We welcomed beginners and world champions and it was some times hard to find the right partners, especially as two teams failed to show. Savate is not yet famous enough but the development is obvious.

The cup for the best technician went to the Belgium fighter Quentin Raviart who took honours for originality : while the rest of his team slept in comfortable beds he preferred to sleep on the ground of the corridor of his hotel.

The real new aspect of this second open was a canne de combat seminar on Saturday morning given by the hungarian teachers who showed an athletic and attractive sport.

So what can we dream for next year?
A third edition in Budapest, of course, and some other open events all over the world.
