The Bulgarian Federation/CESav International Savate Training Camp has concluded in Kranevo, bringing together athletes, coaches and officials from 11 countries for a week of training, education and exchange.
Participants from Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Italy, France, Cameroon, Ukraine, Japan, Belgium, the United Kingdom and Switzerland took part in the camp, creating a diverse training environment.
The programme ran from 16–23 August 2026 on Bulgaria's Black Sea coast and marked the latest edition of a camp that has now been organised by the Bulgarian Federation for 20 years.
With technical training led by Wendy Faure (France), the camp provided an opportunity for participants with different backgrounds and levels of experience to train together, develop their technical skills and exchange knowledge.
A particular focus was placed on referee and judge education. Participants continued their preparation under the guidance of Salvatore Valeri (Italy), Head of the CESav Refereeing Sector, combining theoretical sessions, discussion and practical experience as they progressed towards the examination process.
The organisers described this year's camp as one of the most special in its 20-year history, highlighting the quality of the training, the people involved and the positive atmosphere throughout the week.
The camp also provided athletes and coaches with an opportunity to work alongside practitioners from different countries, sharing approaches and experience and developing connections through Savate.
