The Fédération Internationale de Savate (FISav) is pleased to recognise the continued progress of the Haitian Savate Federation (FEHSA), which has successfully concluded its latest national training programme in Port-au-Prince.
Held on 5 July 2026, the session marked the completion of FEHSA's first six months of development activities for the year. Hosted at the Table Tennis Club in Puits-Blain, the programme brought together a strong group of enthusiastic participants and focused on strengthening the technical knowledge and teaching skills of coaches and instructors, helping to build an even stronger foundation for Savate in Haiti.
In a letter addressed to FISav President Dr Julie Gabriel and the FISav Executive Committee, FEHSA expressed its appreciation for the Federation's encouragement and support, noting that international guidance has helped local initiatives flourish. The federation also reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with FISav on future education programmes, technical development, and initiatives that will further expand opportunities for Savate throughout Haiti.
Despite the many challenges facing sport in Haiti, the continued dedication of FEHSA's volunteers, coaches, and administrators demonstrates the resilience of the Savate community and its determination to provide positive opportunities through sport. The success of this latest training programme reflects the federation's long-term commitment to coach education, athlete development, and the promotion of Savate's core values of respect, discipline, and excellence.
FISav congratulates President David Auguste, Secretary General Lynn Séphora Pierre, and the entire Haitian Savate Federation on this important achievement and looks forward to supporting the continued growth of Savate in Haiti in the months and years ahead.
