The Fédération Internationale de Savate (FISav) was pleased to participate in the French Savate Federation's Federal Seminar, held on 11–12 July 2026 at the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) headquarters in Paris.
The seminar brought together federation leaders, technical directors, coaches, and officials from across France to discuss the future development of Savate Boxe Française and its associated disciplines. The programme included presentations and workshops covering competition reform, coach education, territorial development, Canne de Combat, partnerships, economic and media development, and the future strategic direction of the federation.
FISav was invited to contribute to the session on "Partnerships: From International to Local", where FISav President Dr Julie Gabriel and FISav Honorary President Gilles Le Duigou shared information on the work of the international federation, current development initiatives, and opportunities for collaboration between FISav and its member federations. The discussions also provided an opportunity to exchange experience and best practice on topics including international development, governance, anti-doping education, and the continued growth of Savate worldwide.
The seminar reflected the importance of the relationship between the French Savate Federation and FISav, with both organisations recognising the power of cooperation in strengthening the sport at every level—from local clubs and regional structures to international competition and development programmes.
FISav thanks the French Savate Federation (FFSavate) for its invitation and warm welcome. Events such as this provide a valuable forum for sharing knowledge, building stronger partnerships, and working together to ensure the continued growth and success of Savate around the world.
