With competitors representing 15 nations, the championship highlighted the growing strength and diversity of youth Savate across Europe. Athletes competed across a full programme of male and female weight categories, delivering high-quality performances characterised by technical skill, determination and respect for the values of the sport.
Several other countries also celebrated impressive results. Croatia claimed multiple European titles and featured prominently throughout the medal standings, while host nation Slovenia delighted local supporters by earning a gold medal on home soil. Serbia and Bulgaria also crowned European champions, underlining the continued growth of Savate across the region.
Beyond the gold medallists, the event showcased the increasing competitiveness of youth Savate throughout Europe. More than just a medal event, the Youth European Championship serves as an important stepping stone in the development of future elite athletes. Many of the competitors who took part in Slovenia will now look ahead to senior European and World Championships, using this experience as a foundation for their continued progress.
The successful staging of the event at Terme Olimia once again demonstrated the excellent cooperation between Austria and Slovenia to host major international Savate competitions, offering an excellent environment for competition and international exchange.
