FISav Elections : 30th August 2012- Plovdiv

Conforming to the statutes of FISav, this year we must elect a new Board of Directors for the next 4 years. This election will be held in Bulgaria, on Thursday 30th August, in PLOVDIV, one day before the World Championships of Savate Assaut.

To vote, a country must be up to date with its affiliation fees. Only the full member countries may vote. On 30th July, FISav closed the list of candidates.

Each full member country votes, by secret ballot, by depositing a list of up to 19 candidates in the ballot box (it is possible to vote for less than 19 names). The new Board of Directors is composed of the 19 people having the most votes.

The Board of Directors meets to vote for the president (by secret ballot). If the president is accepted by the General Assembly, they lose their nationality within FISav, and are replaced by another person from their country who becomes the representative of their country. Thus the Board of Directors is 20 people including the president.
