Since the beginning of the 19th century, Belgian, French and Italian savateurs have met from time to time. On December 16, 1972, at the instance of count Pierre BARUZY (Founding President of the French Boxing National Committee in 1965, and Founding President of the French Boxing French Federation in 1975), a minimum of three countries had to meet in order to create the International Federation of Savate French Boxing, but only two countries were present:
- Belgium, represented by Mister FRANKAR, President of the Belgian Royal League of Savate French Boxing. (L.R.B.B.F.S.)
- France, represented by Count Pierre BARUZY and Mister Michel MARLIERE, President of the French Boxing National Committee (C.N.B.F.)
Italy being absent, the international association will not be made official.
The June 10th, 1982, Pierre SILVE, Vice President of the French Boxing French Federation will develop a project: The creation of the French Boxing International Union (U.I.B.F.) where Mister Alexandre WALNIER will represent Belgium. Only two countries met in Paris. Said project will not become reality. At this time, Christian GUILLAUME, a French Boxing teacher, became the artisan of our discipline's development outside of its traditional historical borders and implemented it in the Netherlands. In 1983, Marc GUERIN, Vice President of the French Federation organized the first big intercontinental match between FRANCE and the USA.
In 1985, Alexandre WALNIER (Belgium) organized an intercontinental match (Europe, Africa, America, Middle East).
A teacher, Mister Damien WEHR, implemented our sport in Yugoslavia with Vuk Rajkovic (Yugoslavia).
