Mohamed Dehimi, Technical Director of PÔLE BOXE 77, and Kaoutar Abbassi, President of the club, have been awarded the Médaille de l'Assemblée nationale during a ceremony at the Palais Bourbon, home of the French National Assembly. The medal was presented by Arnaud Saint-Martin, Member of Parliament for Seine-et-Marne, in recognition of their exceptional commitment to young people and their long-standing contribution to sport and education in the Melun Val de Seine region.
For more than four decades, Mohamed Dehimi has used Savate Boxe Française as a powerful educational tool, helping thousands of young people develop not only as athletes but also as responsible and engaged citizens. Through the PÔLE BOXE 77 programme, sporting excellence is combined with personal development, respect, discipline, perseverance, and civic responsibility, creating opportunities for young people both inside and outside the ring.
Many former members of the club have progressed to represent France at the highest level of Savate, while also becoming positive role models within their communities. Under Dehimi's leadership, PÔLE BOXE 77 has earned a reputation as much more than a sports club—it has become a centre for education, inclusion, and citizenship. The distinction also recognises the dedication of Kaoutar Abbassi, whose commitment to supporting young people and charitable initiatives has made her an integral part of the club's success. Her work reflects the values of solidarity, generosity, and community service that are central to the philosophy of PÔLE BOXE 77. Receiving the National Assembly Medal represents a significant honour and also recognises the wider contribution of Savate Boxe Française to society.
During the ceremony, PÔLE BOXE 77 expressed its appreciation to Member of Parliament Arnaud Saint-Martin for this recognition, and thanked Nicolas Metay, President of the French Savate Federation, and Gilles Le Duigou, Honorary President of FISav, whose presence underlined the importance of the occasion.
FISav warmly congratulates Mohamed Dehimi, Kaoutar Abbassi, and everyone at PÔLE BOXE 77 on this well-deserved recognition and thanks them for their continued dedication to promoting the educational, social, and sporting values of Savate.
