From 7 to 11 February Russian Savate Federation together with Japanese Savate Federation organized an international seminar and masterclass in the far-east region of Russia – Sakhalin. This week has been eventful. It was organized the meeting with Irina Ryabkina, Director of the sports Department of the Ministry of sports of the Sakhalin region, where a strategy for the development of savate in the Sakhalin region was decided.


The Chair of the panel of judges of the Russian Savate Federation Tatyana Abrosova carried out a theoretical and practical seminar for judges of the Sakhalin region. 16 judges passed the examination and received the diplomas. 37 athletes successfully passed the technical level exam.

The head coach of the Russian national team Sergei Bulanov and the head coach of the Japanese Savate Federation Liu Kubota held a coaching seminar and a masterclass for the leading athletes of the Sakhalin region. Joint training sessions were held, which were attended by Nikolai Iarantsev (winner of the World championship, vice-champion of the World and Europe) and members of the Japanese national team: World champion Mariko Hara, Keisuke Takahashi (bronze medalist of the World championship) and Kento Funayama (silver medalist of the World championship), as well as 50 Sakhalin athletes.

The Russian Savate Federation awarded Alexander Ermolenko, head of the Sakhalin Savate Federation, for the development and promotion of savate in the Sakhalin region.
