In July, the tournament of the Coupe du Recteur de l’Université Gaston Berger de Saint-Louis brought together some of the best Senegalese Savate fighters in preparation for the Assaut Championships of Senegal, on 13 August. The Place Abdoulaye Wade of St. Louis, which hosted the competition, was filled with people who wanted to see the athletes in action.
With the participation of members of the national team, the audience was treated to finely crafted bouts, with the athletes demonstrating good technique and control. Congratulations to all participants. We wait to see you at the World Assaut Championships in Croatia in September.
