The championships were held at the SPENS Sports Centre in Novi Sad, Serbia, from 18th to 21st June. The weigh-in took place on thursday afternoon, with fights beginning on friday morning - 31 women, 61 senior men and 29 junior men took part in the championships, controlled by a large multi-national team of officials. Each team was allocated a volunteer to assist them with any needs.
Having three rings and effective officials allowed the elimination fights to be completed by lunch time on saturday. The opening ceremony on saturday evening showcased the youth of the region, with traditional dances, followed by a demonstration of savate. This was followed by the semi-finals of the senior events and finals of the junior events - an evening of excitement, adrenaline and excellence.
To finish, the organisers laid on a party and disco for all participants at the Hotel Novi Sad.
