The qualifying tournament of the 2017 World Championships in Savate Combat took place in the historic town of Varaždin (Croatia), from 22nd to 24th June.

More than 250 participants (athletes, officials and entourage) from 27 countries registered for the tournament. They were welcomed to the Arena Varaždin by Siniša Kovačić, the Croatian federation and their team of volunteers.


The weigh-in took place on Thursday and the fighting began on Friday morning. The combats were supervised by an experienced team of officials. Thank you to the officials, to Sinisa, to the Croatian Federation and all the volunteers!

On Saturday evening, the junior finals took place - all athletes competed with energy and determination to get the title of world champion! Full results are available here
